Over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd September 2017 an international firefighting competition, the Firefighter Combat Challenge, took place in Radovljica. It was an incredibly difficult competition, where the competitors' psychophysical abilities were fully tested. Among the 150 firefighters from 10 different countries was our own Anže Habjan, who represented the Airport Rescue and Firefighting Service.

He achieved the following results:

- 1st place in 30+ age group

- 1st place in pairs (together with Gregor Stanonik)

-  1st place in the relay race (together with Gregor Stanonik, Domen Pavlič, Matic Zupan, and Sebastjan Vovko) 

- 3rd place overall.

With these results Anže also qualified for the World Championship, which will be held in the USA between 23rd and 28th October 2017.
