Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Board is a body within the Ministry of Defence of Republic of Slovenia, which is responsible for investigation of accidents and incidents of Slovene aircraft in RS and abroad and accidents and incidents of military aircraft of foreign countries, which happen within the airspace of Republic of Slovenia. Authority’s members are professionals in various fields including safety and security, rescue operations, law, aviation medicine and pathology, psychology, meteorology, forensics etc. Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Board regularly participates in domestic and international conferences in the field of aviation security and investigation of aviation accidents/ incidents, especially with Air Forces. Flight Safety Committee (Europe) - AFFSC(E). Together with Fraport Aviation Academy they organize internationally recognized exercise called Broken Wing.
